Episode 59: Tim’s love advice
Michal:Tim, can I talk to you?
Tim:Sure, what’s on your mind?
Michal:It’s about Helen and her family.
Tim:Yeah, how was that visit you had to her folks’ place?
Michal:It was difficult.
Tim:Why?
Michal:Well, I thought Helen and I were just having some fun, you know, nothing too serious. But her parents have already got us married and are right now thinking up names for the grandchildren we’re going to give them!
Tim:Does Helen feel the same as you then?
Michal:I’m not sure.
Tim:Well, you need to find out and then you’ve got to set her parents straight … I wonder who that is.

Mid-term reflection journal

It feels as if classes started years ago and i cannot believe it´ s just mid semester! getting used to being a college student sure its a challenge.
Regarding the subjet of Language I i do not think it has been hard for me since it is not my first aproach to English, i´ ve made myself used to it since little through songs, games and series, specially lately that my youtube feed its exclusively in english as i enjoy podcast and video essays. Still, it doesn´t mean i know it all and i really enjoy classes.
I think my English has improved so far as i have better understanding of structure, pronunciation and overall grammar that i did not had before when i studied the language independently, not only i feel confident on my academical hability thanks to language I, but it also helps me to develop myself socially since constant interaction is a central part of the classes. I learnt that making mistakes is better than shutting up because of fair of failure, for that broadening my dialect in class has helped me a lot.

I still have to improve greatly on phonetics since i have a hard time remembering the symbols, making use of a more British accent and i have a very hard time with word stress! but I’m slowly getting it. I also need to improve my custom of rushing since most of the mistakes i do on Language I are from not understanding questions or instructions because i was rushed instead of me not knowing the right answer.

I´ m excited to see what i will be able to do as time passes and i learn more, specially in speaking since my accent always slips

To not extend myself i´ll conclude this saying that I feel confident in myself to be able to pass the mid-terms with ease and my goal remains being part of the tops students in class

Hi, My name will soon legally be Matthew Bicudo as i’ve been wanting for it to be since a long time ago. I’m eighteen years old, my birthday was on January 4th so i still have a long way to go.

I’m a proud cat-dad of ☆Kitty☆, my eight year old cat, and she is my everything! I love animals of any kind, shape and form, including bugs.


I’m a huge fan of any kind of art like: Music, writing, drawing, fashion, makeup, etc. I consider myself and artist because i do many of this things.
I also am an anime fan and soon to be cosplayer!

I would consider myself a gothic person and I’m prone to explore a lot with my identity so its hard to say anything certain, but im always open to conversation, specially over philosophical and interesting stuff!
